Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ten years of relevant experience in the last 15 years.
• Or an associate degree with eight years of experience.
• Or a bachelor's degree with five years of experience.
• Florida Mechanical Inspector and Mechanical Plans Examiner certificates required.
• Experience in plan reviews and inspections.
• Ability to interpret contract documents, codes and regulations.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan reviews and inspections for compliance with Florida Building Codes and contract documents.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure compliance with approved drawings and standards.
• Prepare inspection reports with photos, video and notes documenting compliance.
• Review construction documents for contract conformity and standards.
• Monitor testing in the field and observe inspections by authorities.
