Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required; within last ten years.
• Associate's degree option with eight years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or GED accepted with extended experience.
• Current Florida Building Inspector and Plans Examiner certification required per FS 468.

Responsabilités

• Supervise construction projects and ensure plan reviews and inspections comply with Florida Building Codes and contract documents.
• Perform plan reviews and on-site inspections to verify code compliance and quality control.
• Document contractor work with reports, photos, and media; maintain as-built drawings.
• Monitor testing in the field and at the lab as needed; communicate findings to project team.
• Attend field meetings with project consultant, contractor, and Facilities personnel.
• Assist in development of inspection checklists, protocols, and procedures.

Formation

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Associate's degree from an accredited institution

Standard high school diploma or GED

Florida Building Inspector and Building Plans Examiner certificate (State DBPR)
