Tecta America Commercial Roofing is seeking an Estimator to prepare cost estimates for roofing projects and submit bids to contractors and clients. The role involves soliciting projects, tracking bid activity, and handing off complete documentation including cost codes and scope of work.

Travel is expected at 10-20% with strong emphasis on accuracy, market awareness, and collaboration with engineers, owners, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Roofing/construction experience preferred; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with good math aptitude.
• Jobsite visits are a mandatory part of this position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to climb ladders repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bids to determine which bids are beneficial and which are not.
• Utilize bid log to track own bids and total bids closed.
• Ensure processes from pre-bid to handoff are followed.
• Draft letters to General Contractors and private clients.
• Solicit feedback to improve quality control.
• Analyze blueprints to estimate time, cost, materials and labor.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and engineers on estimates and changes.
