Job summary
Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a Roof & Wall Estimator to deliver accurate take-offs and detailed material lists for public bids, using in-house pricing software and third-party data.
The role emphasizes timely estimates and adherence to company standards to optimize lead times and output. This full-time position supports internal and external customers, collaborates with Builders, Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering, and requires strong math, communication, and CAD/Excel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certificate or Degree in related field preferred but not required.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and project specs.
- Experience with in-house estimating applications and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Prepares estimates from drawings, specs, and addenda using in-house pricing software.
- Identifies exclusions and missing information to obtain scope clarification.
- Executes adds, deducts, or alternates for special pricing.
- Ensures use of current pricing information in estimates.
- Maintains internal and external vendor/customer relationships.
- Communicates scope/design clarifications with relevant teams (Builders, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering).
- Demonstrates commitment to efficient time management in a remote work environment.
- Reports to Estimating Manager or Estimating Team Leader.
- Travel to work location approximately 2 times per year or less.
