Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking an Associate for Rolling Stock Strategy and Analysis to support the Rolling Stock Program. The role focuses on drafting technical specifications to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), aligning incentives with manufacturers, and creating TCO models for select MTA fleets.

The incumbent will also build forecasts for fleet replacement, model project financing costs, and track industry trends for new materials and approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Sciences or equivalent.
• Experience with analytical work and data modeling.
• Ability to develop and interpret cost models and TCO analyses.

Responsibilities

• Draft technical specifications to optimize TCO and align incentives.
• Build total cost of ownership models for MTA fleets.
• Provide data-driven analyses to inform critical decisions that affect TCO.
