Job summary

Siemens Mobility in California is offering a Rolling Stock Project Management Internship for the Amtrak Intercity Trainsets project. You will learn to lead large-scale programs, coordinate across departments, and help manage the production readiness of trainsets while working alongside engineers and project managers.

The role is designed for rising juniors or seniors majoring in Engineering or Project Management, with strong analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Current juniors or seniors pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university, majoring in Engineering or Project Management with strong technical or analytical aptitude.
• Availability: ~20 hours/week during the year and ~40 hours/week during school breaks.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Prior internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and strong written/presentation/critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal and external project meetings.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers on design improvements and technical documentation.
• Support implementation and supply of materials for design changes.
• Monitor and document coach production progress.
• Track and guide materials supply to the production floor.
• Write field modifications and test procedures.
• Create Tableau reports and project dashboards.
