Job summary

Siemens Mobility in California is seeking a Rolling Stock Project Management Intern to gain hands-on experience coordinating with multiple departments on a major Amtrak Intercity Trainsets project. You will lead small scale activities, document progress, and learn design changes in a fast-paced rail environment.

The role is suitable for a rising junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree, with the flexibility to balance studies and work, and to work around school schedules.

Qualifications

• Current junior or senior pursuing a BA/BS in Engineering or Project Management.
• Availability ~20 hours per week during the year and ~40 hours per week during school breaks.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend internal and external project meetings.
• Work with Project Managers and Engineers on design improvements and technical docs.
• Support implementation and supply of materials for design changes.
• Monitor and document coach production progress.
• Help track materials supply to the production floor.
• Write field modifications and test procedures.
• Create Tableau dashboards and project reports.
