Qualifications

• Safety oriented.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, pipe fitting, rigging, bearing & coupling replacement; reads prints & schematics.
• Willingness to learn and strong teamwork.
• Understanding of physics (heat transfer, fluid flow, force and power transmission).
• Understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry).
• Willingness to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and multi-task.
• Strong teamwork focus; ability to prioritize with production needs.
• Preferred: two years in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Rotating shift work including nights and weekends.
• Welding, cutting and fabrication.
• Maintain all mechanical systems related to the rolling process.
• Troubleshoot and repair of high-pressure hydraulic systems.
• Rigging, crane and mobile equipment operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and piping diagrams.
• Personal tools required to perform routine maintenance and repair.
• Work with operations and maintenance groups to ensure continued production.
• Work with computer-based maintenance systems.
