You will provide engineering support to maintenance and operations, lead area mechanical engineering, and drive equipment optimization across finishing and coating processes. The role emphasizes start-up, commissioning, and transitioning to technical equipment expert, with a strong focus on slitting, tension control, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; ten+ years preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and direction to maintenance and operations during installation, commissioning, and steady-state operations.
• Lead area mechanical engineering and support safety, quality, sustainability, and profit objectives.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes with operations to provide engineered solutions.
• Support operations during equipment breakdowns and develop repair procedures.
• Manage equipment rebuilds with maintenance resources and contractors.
• Develop capital improvement projects with timelines and oversee execution.
• Serve as technical equipment expert and lead equipment/ process improvements.
• Lead process improvements in coil finishing, including slitters, tension level lines, and coating/chemical lines.
• Maintain relationships with internal customers and external suppliers to meet improvement needs.
