Job summary

Mural Industrial is seeking a hands-on hydraulic maintenance technician to support a brand-new steel mill in Apple Grove, West Virginia. You will install, Commission, inspect, and maintain hydraulic and centralized lubrication systems across heavy rolling mill equipment as part of a direct-hire on-site team.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot faults, and perform preventive maintenance on HPUs, valves, cylinders, and piping.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industrial hydraulic maintenance experience with HPUs, valves, cylinders, and high-pressure circuits (above 1,500 PSI).
• Background with centralized lubrication systems for gearboxes, bearings, and roll necks (oil and grease).
• Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and P&IDs.
• Experience in a steel mill, aluminum rolling mill, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Exposure to servo or proportional hydraulic valves is a significant plus.
• Comfort operating on rotating shifts in a demanding heavy industrial setting.
• Reliable transportation to Apple Grove, WV.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, adjust, and maintain hydraulic and centralized lubrication systems across heavy rolling mill equipment.
• Work on systems and components including HPUs; servo and proportional valve circuits; hydraulic cylinders; accumulators; high-pressure piping and fittings; lubrication for gearboxes, bearings, and roll necks; filtration skids; distribution manifolds; and hydraulic fluid quality management.
• Read hydraulic schematics and P&IDs, trace circuit faults, perform planned preventive maintenance, and respond to urgent troubleshooting needs.
