Job summary

MURAL-GROUP is seeking an Industrial Electrician for a brand-new steel mill in Apple Grove, WV. You will maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems on large rolling mill equipment, including AC/DC drive systems, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, instrumentation, and Siemens PLCs.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, coordinating with controls and mechanical teams, and ensuring continuous operation during commissioning and production. WV journeyman license preferred.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience with 480V three-phase and above.
• VFD or large drive system troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Siemens PLC experience (TIA Portal, S7) is a major differentiator.
• Journeyman Electrician license (WV or reciprocal) preferred.
• Steel mill or heavy industrial background strongly preferred.
• NFPA 70E arc flash training and LOTO proficiency.
• Open to rotating shifts at an active industrial facility.
• Reliable transportation to Apple Grove, WV location.

Industrial Electrician (Industrial Maintenance) | Apple Grove, West Virginia

$35-48/hr | Direct Hire | Major New Steel Mill

Mural is partnering with a global industrial equipment manufacturer to place an Electrician at a brand-new steel mill in Apple Grove, West Virginia currently entering commissioning. This is a direct hire position with a globally recognized OEM. The facility is one of the most significant new steel mill investments in the United States, and our client's equipment runs Siemens-based drive and control systems. If you are an industrial electrician who wants to work on world-class equipment at a major long-term facility, this is the role.

What you will be doing

You will maintain and troubleshoot the electrical systems on large industrial rolling mill equipment -- including AC/DC drive systems on mill stands, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), transformers, instrumentation and sensors (encoders, load cells, pyrometers), and Siemens PLC-based automation and control systems. You will respond to electrical faults, perform preventive maintenance, read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and coordinate with the controls and mechanical teams to keep the facility running.

What we are looking for

• Industrial electrical maintenance experience -- 480V three-phase and above, MCC work, motor and drive maintenance
• Variable frequency drive (VFD) or large drive system troubleshooting experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Siemens PLC experience (TIA Portal, S7 series) is a major differentiator -- if you have it, lead with it
• Journeyman Electrician license (WV or reciprocal) preferred
• Steel mill, aluminum rolling mill, or heavy industrial background strongly preferred
• NFPA 70E arc flash training and LOTO proficiency
• Open to rotating shifts at an active industrial facility
• Reliable transportation to Apple Grove, WV (Mason County -- approximately 40 miles north of Huntington, WV)

Pay and Details

$35-48/hr based on experience. Direct hire employment with benefits. Apple Grove, West Virginia.
