Job summary

Mural-Group seeks two Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for a brand-new steel mill in Apple Grove, West Virginia. You will maintain heavy rolling mill equipment and coordinate crane moves for roll changes, with direct hire and benefits.

Ideal candidates have heavy industrial maintenance experience, millwright skills, and the ability to read mechanical drawings. The role involves physically demanding work on rotating shifts in a hot, heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Heavy industrial mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing plants.
• Millwright background or equivalent mechanical skills (precision alignment, bearings).
• Overhead crane coordination and rigging for large component moves.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical systems on heavy rolling mill equipment.
• Roll changes on work rolls and backup rolls requiring crane coordination.
• Inspect and replace roll chocks and bearings; lubricate gearboxes.
• Align couplings and shafts; service conveyors and table rolls.
• Perform general heavy mechanical preventive maintenance in rolling mill entry/exit equipment and coilers.
