Job summary
Nucor is seeking an NSBHM Rolling Mill Automation & Electrical Technician in Birmingham, AL to support electrical systems across automation and production lines. The role emphasizes keeping production running, installing and maintaining equipment, and driving improvements through PLC and HMI work.

Qualifications
- Three years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Equivalent electrical training or military experience will be considered.
- Extensive knowledge in power distribution, motor control centers, instrumentation, automated systems, PLC and HMI programming, and VFD troubleshooting in a manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical support through automation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
- Answer calls and ensure continuous operations of production lines.
- Perform preventive maintenance functions.
- Perform configuration, programming, monitoring, & troubleshooting for PLCs, network switches, servers, and HMI workstations.
- Develop and implement projects for continuous improvement.
