Job summary
Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is seeking applicants for the Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician position. You will safely support maintenance and operations by performing routine preventive maintenance, addressing breakdowns, and assisting with upgrades to improve equipment reliability during normal production hours.
General mechanical and electrical knowledge is essential. The role requires a two-year technical degree related to Industrial Maintenance and experience in industrial
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree related to Industrial Maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and off shifts.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, welding, pumps, drive systems, and conveyors.
- Experience with industrial mechanical and electrical predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
- Must communicate effectively between shifts and departments.
Responsibilities
- Safely provide maintenance support to production teams.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and address breakdowns.
- Assist in equipment upgrades to improve reliability during production hours.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and installation as needed.
- Follow safety policies and procedures (JHA/SJP/LOTO) throughout the facility.
