The warehouse of the future is equipped with our autonomous robots instead of forklifts and our Atlas 2D pallet shuttles or tote shuttles that allow for high-density storage (no wasted space).

Job Description The owner profiling and welding beams on an automated line. Responsible for profiling (cutting and shaping) steel beams according to precise specifications, then welding them on an automated production line- ensuring quality, dimensional accuracy, and safe operation throughout the entire process.

Product Liability You’re responsible for profiling and welding the beams. Responsible for profiling (cutting and shaping) steel beams according to precise specifications, then welding them on an automated production line- ensuring quality, dimensional accuracy, and safe operation throughout the entire process.

Responsibility Towards Customers Ensure that all beam welds meet the quality standards defined by EN 1090 Execution Class C.

Doc. & Instructions

  • The quality documents, production procedures, cleaning, and security are located on the SharePoint server
  • Production orders are on ERP
  • Quality and performance controls must be encoded in the appropriate software.
  • Guidelines and procedure for 5S audits

Equipment

  • Production: roll forming line + welding line with robots.
  • Quality: slide ided, meter, bench and measuring station, automatic weld control camera and hook control camera
  • Nibbler to cut the coil beginnings
  • Tools, wrenches, pliers,… to make changes productions.
  • Spare parts for small interventions on robots, contact tip, gas nozzle, gas distributors, marathon
  • Welding machine
  • PPE: shoes, gloves, earplugs, cap, glasses, welding helmet.
  • IT: PC with ERP and software

Areas Of Knowledge / Specialisations

  • Knowledge of the operation of machines.
  • Welding robots: handling, positioning robots, modifying welding positioning with supervisor permission
  • TCP Torch Control,
  • Profiling, adjustment of profiles to the design dimensions,
  • Welding Permit (for small repairs)
  • Working with the computer
  • Read profile map

Working Environment

  • Production workshop : noise, coil, smoke welding, arc welding, strapping, load handling
  • Exposure to noise, welding smoke, arc welding, moving coils, strapping, and manual load handling
  • Products : Deraclean, argon C15, butane, HFO 45, Hydro HVI 46, interflon tube HT, Sodium hydroxide 0.1mol/l, Syndus SP 200

Work Pace/size Of The Series

  • Between 1 and 5 changes of lengths per team.
  • About a change of profiles every three teams.
  • Approx. 2 hook changes
  • Coil change: one per hour on averageHook power supply: approx. 500/h

Qualifications The owner profiling and welding beams on an automated line.

These Tasks Are

Respect safety

Quality control: once an hour two stringers on the control station (4 stringers for Beamline 4)

  • Length
  • Visual inspection of the weld (6 welds + intermediate points) + “a” value check
  • X value of the hooks + type of hooks
  • Torsion
  • Profile height

When the quality is not good, the operator must quarantine his production and notify your supervisor to find a solution to the problem and determine the purpose of the immobilized production.

Change Of The Coils

  • Turn unwinder with buttons
  • Introducing the coil into the leveler
  • Insert coil into the roll forming machine and set it to automatic unwinding.
  • Introduce coil into the flying shears + cut short length
  • Set line to automatic + check the profile dimensions + adjust if necessary

Production Change

  • Profile Type
  • Coil
  • Adjust profiling: change numeric value
  • Changing cutting dies
  • Reset the weld line
  • Put the new type of profiles on the screen and send to the robots (program number)
  • Check +modify the mechanical values of the stations

Change of lengths

  • Change the value of the length on the roll forming or punching screen
  • Change station positioning 1 automatic length control system
  • Check +modify the mechanical values of the stations
  • Put new length on the screen for robots + reset the line

Bracket changes

  • Remove the hooks from the conveyor
  • Put new type on the screen + send to the robots.
  • Put the new hooks on the conveyor

Adapt the welding positions of the robots with the supervisor’s permission.

Repair bad welds manually with welder

Maintenance of the robots (at the welding level): contact tip, welding nozzle, TCP control, torch, sheaths, welding wires, putting new welding wires, cleaning – oiling of the welding wire unwinders.

Cleaning + order and cleanliness of the line. Each team has one area per 2 weeks to clean.

Managing Waste

  • Sorting good profiles with bad ones
  • The goal is to have as little waste as possible.

Follow ERP

Software encoding: quality control, throughput

The operator warns the painter of the colour to be expected.

Provides Level 1 maintenance

Helps with maintenance during certain repairs (basic), explanation of the problem to make the diagnosis, manual help, change a screw or tighten, adjust a cell.

You perform the 5S audits according to the instructions
