Job summary

Movu is seeking a Bracing Profiling Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in the United States, Georgia. The role involves setting up and operating roll-forming machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring dimensional accuracy while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include machine setup, production monitoring, quality inspections, maintenance, and adherence to LOTO and PPE protocols. The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or roll-forming.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or roll-forming operation.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with SAP work orders and MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and align roller dies on spindles and load steel/metal coils.
• Set machine parameters for thickness, speed, and shear.
• Run the roll-forming line and monitor material feed, lubrication, and cut-to-length functionality.
• Perform first-off inspections using calipers/micrometers to verify dimensions.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and troubleshoot jams, wear, or misalignment.
• Ensure safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE usage.

The warehouse of the future is equipped with our autonomous robots instead of forklifts and our Atlas 2D pallet shuttles or tote shuttles that allow for high-density storage (no wasted space).

A Bracing Machine Operator sets up,operates, andmaintainsspecialized machinery to shape metal coils into specific profiles, ensuring production quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include installing roller dies, adjusting machine settings, monitoring for defects, performing routinepreventivmaintenance, and interpreting blueprints to meet strict dimensional tolerances.

Machine Setup & Operation: Install and align roller dies (tooling) on spindles, load steel/metal coils using cranes or forklifts, and adjust settings for thickness, speed, and shear.

Production Monitoring: Run the roll-forming line, ensuring continuous material feed, proper lubrication, andaccuratecut-to-length functionality.

Quality Control: Perform first-off inspections, using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and tape measures to verify that finished products match blueprints and specs.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily preventive maintenance (cleaning, oiling, greasing) and troubleshoot issues like jamming, roller wear, or misalignment.

Safety Adherence: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE usage.

Qualifications

Experience:2 years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or specific roll-forming machine operation.

Technical Skills:Ability to readblueprints, SAPwork orders, navigate MES system, and interpret technical drawings.

Tools:Proficiencyin using hand tools (wrenches), measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, tape measure, micrometer), and potentially overhead cranes.

Physical Strength:Capability to lift materials (often up to 50lbs) and stand forlong periods.

Education:High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
