Job summary

SDLC Technologies in Denver seeks a senior Roku platform engineer to own production-grade SceneGraph implementations, ensure memory safety on 512MB-class hardware, and drive contract-driven architecture for streaming apps.

You will collaborate daily with the engineering pod, review module implementations for performance, lead pre-certification assessments, and contribute playbooks and CI/CD improvements using BrightScript and observability tools.

Qualifications

• Expertise in production-grade Roku SceneGraph and memory safety on constrained hardware.
• Evidence of architecting a complex streaming app in production.
• Shipped Roku apps that passed Channel Certification.
• Strong capability integrating third-party SDKs for advertising and analytics.
• Ability to define spec-driven development using AI tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily collaboration with the engineering pod across sprint cycles and bridge time zones.
• Review feature modules and enforce SceneGraph performance and memory safety rules; share milestone sign-off with SMEs.
• Lead pre-certification assessments for platform nuances including deep-link handling, screensaver behavior, accessibility, and instrumentation.
• Author troubleshooting playbooks and maintain annotated examples using BrightScript/observability tools; integrate checks into CI/CD.
• Align with EchoStar's bi-weekly sprint cadence and weekly release cadence.
