Job summary

MRO Corporation is seeking an ROI Specialist to support client sites with release of information requests, ensuring privacy and accuracy in handling records. You will review request details, determine which records to release, log activity in the ROI On-Line database, answer inquiries by phone or in person, and help process payments while complying with HIPAA and site policies.

This role requires attention to detail, dependable data entry, and the ability to work independently to meet production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year data entry experience or data entry proficiency.
• Proficient with computer applications.
• HIPAA knowledge or compliance familiarity preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Experience in ROI in a physician office or HIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and obtaining pertinent patient data from various sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Respond to walk-in customers requesting medical records and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Respond and process requests from physician offices on a priority basis and fax information to the physician office.
• Log medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
