LJA Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Rodman to support surveying projects in the field and on-site across various job sites. You will transport and set up surveying instruments, prepare sites, clear brush, and assist the survey team to ensure accurate elevation measurements.

• Measurers distances between points and assists with survey equipment.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Rodman at LJA, Inc, you will be responsible for transporting and setting up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Party Chief gives direction for this position
• Transport and set up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lays out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measures how far different points are from each other Horizontally
• Helps with various pieces of survey equipment
• willingness to travel

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• HS Graduate or GED
