Responsibilities

• Transport and set up surveying instruments and equipment at job sites.
• Clear brush or trees to expose survey lines.
• Lay out stakes for elevation measurements.
• Hold prism pole steady for surveyors.
• Measure horizontal distances between points.
• Assist with various survey equipment.
• Travel as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Rodman at LJA, Inc, you will be responsible for transporting and setting up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Party Chief gives direction for this position
• Transport and set up instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing job site for survey
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lays out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measures how far different points are from each other Horizontally
• Helps with various pieces of survey equipment
• willingness to travel

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• HS Graduate or GED

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
• Must be able to lift 25lbs
