Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is seeking a Rodman for our Daytona Beach operation. The role reports to the Party Chief and supports the survey crew on construction projects, outdoors, with possible day/night shifts.

Responsibilities include loading survey equipment, laying out stakes, performing basic math for slopes and grades, and ensuring safety. A high school diploma and valid Florida driver's license are preferred; drug screening and background check apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors and in varying conditions.
• Capable of following directions from the Party Chief and crew leads.
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures and complete required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Clear brush from the survey line.

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Rodman position for our local operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works as a general assistant on construction projects under the direction of the Party Chief
• Load and unload survey equipment
• Clears brush or trees away from the survey line
• Lay out stakes to prepare for horizontal and vertical survey measurements
• Implement simple math to calculate slopes and grades
• Work outdoors for long hours under varying conditions and terrain
• Follow safe practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous experience on a survey crew preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check
