Job summary

CWR Contracting, Inc. in Pensacola, FL seeks an experienced Party Chief to lead field surveying crews on heavy civil projects.

You will supervise survey crew, ensure safety, and coordinate stakeouts for construction, topo, boundary, and utilities. Requirements include 3+ years in heavy civil construction surveying with FDOT stake-out, Trimble machine control and GPS layout knowledge, a high school diploma, valid Florida driver's license, MVR compliance, and ability to pass background and drug

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil construction surveying and FDOT stake out experience required.
• Trimble machine control experience and GPS layout knowledge is a plus.
• General knowledge and understanding of ALTA standards.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Florida driver's license.
• Company MVR requirements, background check, and drug screening.

CWR is a growing road construction company. We are currently seeking an experienced Party Chief for our local operations.

• Responsible for coordinating the activity, effective performance, training, and safety of all members of a field survey party
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of survey computations, types of surveys and field operations in construction site / heavy civil layout
• Supervises all survey crew members performing construction stakeout, and surveys including topographic, boundary and utility
• Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed
• Maintain quality of all measurements
• Record all required data collected and calculations made and review for correctness
• Maintain equipment and vehicles used by surveying crews
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in heavy civil construction surveying and FDOT stake out experience required
• Trimble machine control experience and GPS layout knowledge is a plus
• General knowledge and understanding of ALTA standards
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license
