Qualifications

  • Theoretical knowledge in Behavioral Pharmacology or Experimental Psychology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in rodent behavioral testing and handling, including surgical procedures and drug administration.
  • Ability to track data, manage study protocols, and analyze results with clear communication.
  • Proficiency with standard MS Word/Excel and data management tools; teamwork and confidentiality.
  • Experience with laboratory safety, IACUC guidelines, and collaboration with researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of animal research focusing on rodent models for substance use disorders.
  • Design and implement behavioral pharmacology experiments and oversee data collection and analysis.
  • Perform rodent surgeries, drug administration, tissue collection, and non-terminal assays.
  • Present data in meetings and coordinate studies with collaborators; maintain lab equipment.
