Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking candidates for a hands-on production role at our Arizona site, supporting casting, milling and related processes. The position emphasizes safety, mechanical aptitude and teamwork within a 24/7 operation.

Qualified applicants will have high school education or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must meet two major progression positions and complete required level criteria.
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies, including LOP requirements where applicable.
• Must pass a written assessment when required to demonstrate technical knowledge and safety.
• Ability to work in potentially stressful environments and meet safety policies.
• Effective written and verbal communication; must communicate in English.
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Willingness to learn and apply new or changing job-related tasks.

• Operate heavy industrial equipment and processes.
• Use hand and power tools.

What You Will Do

• Assist in a production process such as casting, milling, coiling, shipping, furnace and refractory.

• Complete the appropriate skill level criteria of the progression program
• Perform labor type work and keep facilities clean and free from job related safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

• Must be qualified in two major positions as defined in the Progression program
• Must meet prior level progression criteria
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
