Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks a Supervisor Electrical Maintenance to lead the Miami smelter and rod plant operations in Arizona. You will supervise staff, coordinate maintenance plans, and ensure safe, efficient execution of electrical tasks in a 24/7 operation.

Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. The smelter processes copper concentrate primarily from our company’s Arizona copper mines and is the most significant source of sulfuric acid for our North American leaching operations. What You Will Do

• Assign, supervise, and review the work of staff for assigned work unit.
• Implement production plans according to approved schedule.
• May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.
• Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.
• Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
• Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.
• Maintain an inventory of parts and materials. Approves purchases of materials and equipment; maintain time, materials and equipment use reports. Requisitions tools, supplies, materials and equipment.
• Train staff in safety procedures. Maintains safety data sheets for crews.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• High School diploma or GEDandfive years of related operational experience,includingsupervisory or lead experience,OR
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in mining or industrial environment,includingsupervisory or lead experience.

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$87,500-$120,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
