Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks a Test Technician to join the Operations team. You will set up and operate a range of test systems, participate in engineering coordination, and ensure timely testing of aerospace hardware for multiple programs.

The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a high-rate environment. Ability to lift 50 lbs and travel as needed are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, testing, or related mechanical or electrical field (3+ years).
• Documented experience using standard mechanical tools such as torque tools, drills, threaded inserts, wrenches.
• Experience interpreting drawings, schematics, diagrams, P&ID and other technical docs.
• Hands-on assembly, integration, test, troubleshooting, or validation across mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
• Experience operating pressurized test systems and environmental test systems.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment (vibration tables, thermal chambers, pressure instruments, water delivery systems, flow meters).
• Perform test troubleshooting and basic equipment maintenance; coordinate with test engineers and management.
• Assemble hardware and production assets to support testing activities.
