Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a SpaceX Test Stand Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift in McGregor, TX. The role maintains and improves rocket test stands, hydraulic and fluid systems, and ground support equipment to support high-volume engine testing.

The candidate will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and data systems, work with engineers, and adhere to strict safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, cryogenic, high-pressure gas or data systems.

Responsibilities

• Modify and maintain test stands and ground support equipment for rocket testing.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair test stand hardware across fluid, structural, and mechanical subsystems.
• Maintain structural/mechanical systems and components such as rollers and bearings.
• Maintain fluid systems including piping, pumps, valves and filters.
• Collaborate with design and operations engineers to optimize systems and drive improvements.
• Develop methods to streamline internal processes and increase reliability.
• Follow SpaceX safety and quality policies and regulatory standards.
