Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Development Test Technician for 2nd shift to join the Starbase Structures team. You will perform a wide range of test operations, fabricate test equipment, and support instrumentation, data, and control systems across hydraulic and fluid systems.

Responsibilities include building fluid panels, wiring instrumentation, rigging, and operating high-pressure test rigs while troubleshooting and calibrating equipment. A&P license and aerospace experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years experience with mechanical, fluid, instrumentation, data/control systems, or test operations.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and troubleshoot test equipment across fluid, mechanical, data, and control systems.
• Fabricate fluid panels, plumbing, hydraulic manifolds, and tubing; route and fuel tests.
• Install instrumentation and route wiring; troubleshoot instrumentation and wiring issues.
• Operate and troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components such as pumps and actuators.
• Assemble, modify, and inspect test articles including structural fabrication and leak detection.
• Assist in rigging and crane operations for equipment and articles.
• Develop data/control systems for test stands with thousands of channels.
• Maintain, calibrate, configure, monitor, test and repair instrumentation and controls.
• Configure high-pressure, hazardous, and cryogenic fluid systems during tests.
