Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Development Test Technician for the 2nd shift to support the Starbase Structures team. You will work on a range of test operations, fabricate components, install instrumentation, and help operate hydraulic test stands.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and fluid systems, data acquisition, and test operations. Expect a fast-paced environment with safety and precision at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience with mechanical systems, fluid systems or data/control systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and troubleshoot test equipment across fluid, mechanical, data, and control systems.
• Fabricate hydraulic panels, tubing, and manifolds; route and test systems.
• Install instrumentation and troubleshoot wiring and sensors.
• Operate and troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps and actuators.
• Assemble and inspect test articles with precision machining and non-destructive testing.
• Rigging and crane operations for test equipment and articles.
• Develop data/control systems for large test stands with thousands of channels.
• Maintain, calibrate, configure, monitor, and repair instrumentation and controls.
• Configure high-pressure, hazardous, and cryogenic fluid systems during tests.
