Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Software Engineer to design and maintain software that orchestrates robotic warehouse operations, inventory movement, and order fulfillment in automated distribution centers.

Responsibilities include building scalable services, integrating AMR fleets, and ensuring real-time decision making, with collaboration across product management, robotics, QA, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin; Flutter/Dart desirable.
• Experience building distributed systems and APIs (Kafka, MQTT).
• Experience with key-value stores (Redis) and NoSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting warehouse automation operations.
• Build services that coordinate AMR fleets, inventory movement, order fulfillment, and workstation activities.
• Develop scalable APIs, event-driven services, and user-facing applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; participate in architecture reviews.
