Job summary

1X is seeking a Test Technician for the Manufacturing Operations team to execute functional, electrical, and electromechanical tests on NEO hardware and subassemblies. You will maintain test stations, fixtures, and wiring, ensuring accurate data and timely escalation of issues to engineering.

Based in San Carlos / Hayward, the role operates on the Morning Shift, supporting production with reliable test coverage and documented results to facilitate scalable manufacturing as 1X grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an engineering lab, manufacturing test, electronics test, or similar technical environment.
• Practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical hardware.
• Experience using hand tools and basic test equipment such as DMMs and power supplies.
• Ability to follow technical procedures, interpret test instructions, and document results.
• Basic computer skills including spreadsheets and digital docs.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional, electrical, and electromechanical tests per plans and requirements.
• Maintain test stations, fixtures, instrumentation, cabling, power supplies, and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot test station and hardware failures; document and escalate issues to engineering.
• Maintain accurate test records, pass/fail results, and serial-number traceability.
• Support failure reproduction, retesting, and verification to minimize delays.
• Identify opportunities to improve test procedures, station reliability, and efficiency.
