Job summary

Weave Robotics, Inc. seeks engineers to advance teleoperation interfaces for our home-robot platform. You will own the end-to-end operator experience, from input devices to immersive visual feedback, ensuring precise, low-latency control in real-home environments.

You will collaborate with mechanical, robotics, and software teams to map human motion to robot motion, optimize control, and push the boundaries of autonomous assistance while maintaining ergonomic, scalable operator stations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in teleoperation, haptics, or closely allied control research.
• Interactive systems competence: built VR, simulation, or operator-facing 3D UI.
• Depth in the delay problem: explain passivity concepts and time-domain aspects.
• Strong optimization-based control: differential IK, QP formulations.
• Systems fluency: profile end-to-end pipelines across device, network, and robot.

Responsibilities

• Build the operator's visual interface with stereo video, overlays, and VR-friendly layouts.
• Own the input layer by integrating headsets, controllers, and leader hardware.
• Drive retargeting to map operator motion to robot motion within robot limits.
• Hide latency with prediction, local simulation, and interpolation on the operator side.
• Build shared autonomy blending operator input with autonomous assistance.
• Spec the operator station, inputs, displays, and full-shift ergonomics.
• Ship it: deploy reliable systems used daily with a fast iteration loop.
