Qualifications

• Experience building controllers that run on real robot hardware.
• Strong motor control theory with hands-on encoder, current sensing, and filtering.
• Proficiency in embedded software with real-time constraints and low-level peripherals.
• Experience with embedded communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, EtherCAT).
• Knowledge of embedded safety mechanisms (brownout detection, overcurrent protection, watchdogs, thermal monitoring).

Responsibilities

• Own policy-output-to-joint-commands and turn action streams into whole-body motion.
• Design, implement, and tune hierarchical control systems with nested feedback loops.
• Build motor control software from prototypes through production deployment.
• Create whole-body controllers including operational-space and impedance control.
• Architect reliable, high-performance software for production robotic systems.
• Develop pipelines for encoder calibration, sensing, filtering, synchronization, and testing.
