Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a hands-on technician to operate, test and maintain unmanned robotic systems and electromechanical equipment at our High Point, NC facility. You may support engineers in testing and design while ensuring precise assembly to meet specifications.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, calibrating hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and programming robots/PLCs, with on-site training and supervision for install and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English language, spelling, grammar and composition.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, their design, maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, PC hardware and software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams and orders.
• Detail-oriented with precise measurement and tolerance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Align, fit and assemble components using hand tools, fixtures and templates.
• Analyze and record test results and document testing clearly.
• Install electrical parts in housings using soldering equipment and tools.
• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams and orders for assembly sequencing.
• Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.
• Test performance with oscilloscopes and voltmeters.
• Verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Develop, test and program new robots and PLCs.
• Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings and fixtures.
• Train others to install, use and maintain robots.
• Perform all duties to the prescribed standard.
