Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Robotics Technician for 2nd & 3rd shift at High Point, NC. You will operate, test, and maintain automated systems, and may assist engineers in developing robotic solutions.

You will read blueprints and schematics to perform precise assembly, testing, calibration, and programming of robots and PLCs. Team training and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, servo-mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
  • May assist engineers in testing and designing robotics equipment.
  • Align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.
  • Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation.
  • Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
  • Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet specifications.
  • Test performance of electromechanical assemblies using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bridges.
  • Verify dimensions and clearances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Develop, test, and program new robots and PLCs.
  • Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Train others to install, use, and maintain robots.
  • Perform all duties to the prescribed standard.
