Job summary

Qualifications

• English language knowledge including spelling, grammar.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware.
• Knowledge of design techniques for precision plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Ability to see details at close range.
• Ability to adjust machine controls to exact positions.
• Obtaining and using equipment, facilities, and materials as needed.
• Routine maintenance on equipment and determining maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and microscopes.
• Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation.
• Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using soldering equipment and hand tools.
• Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
• Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet specifications.
• Test performance of electromechanical assemblies using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and bridges.
• Verify dimensions and clearances using precision measuring instruments.
• Develop, test, and program new robots and PLCs.
• Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.
• Train others to install, use, and maintain robots.
