Job summary

Maxinsights is seeking a Systems Software & Middleware Engineer to develop high-performance, device-side data recording and middleware for robotics data collection systems. You will work across software and hardware interfaces to optimize performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with hardware, sensor, algorithm, testing, and data platform teams to integrate components, troubleshoot issues, and deliver robust software for real-world robotics applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in C++ or Python, with solid programming fundamentals and design pattern knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Debug and optimize integrated hardware and software systems for data collection and performance.
• Develop on-device data recording systems for video, audio, IMU data, and device status information.
• Design and implement device-side middleware for efficient data exchange (publish-subscribe, IPC, shared memory, queues, zero-copy).
• Collaborate with sensor, algorithm, hardware, testing, and data platform teams to integrate components and support product delivery.
