Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for our Pasadena, CA site. You will support hands-on integration and testing of robotic and motion-control systems, set up test hardware, troubleshoot issues, and document results while collaborating with mentors and engineers across teams.

The role emphasizes fast learning in a small, high-performing environment with opportunities to attend tech talks and internal reviews. On-site, full-time for 12 weeks starting May/June 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree program in Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotic Engineering or related discipline with at least one semester remaining.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internships, labs, or projects)

Responsibilities

• Set up test hardware and operate robotic systems.
• Execute test procedures and collect/analyze data.
• Document results and assist verification deliverables.
• Collaborate with mentors and teams to enable program success.
