Amazon in Nashville, TN is seeking a Systems Administrator Engineer III to design, operate, and improve scalable infrastructure across operating systems, networking, and hardware. You will drive automation, runbooks, and SOPs to ensure reliability and performance of critical services.

This role blends hands-on engineering with project leadership, mentoring engineers, and shaping the technical direction of the team while collaborating with partners across the organization.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or above in STEM field.
• 7+ years of technical program management experience.
• Experience owning program strategy, managing end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Experience managing external vendors and contractors—including generating RFPs, and setting requirements and SLAs.
• Ability to travel 75% within the domestic US.
• 5+ years of operations, automation, and process improvement experience.
• 3+ years of team development experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems and services within your team's scope, ensuring they are highly available, performant, secure, and maintainable.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multiple technology areas, determining both short-term mitigations and long-term solutions while minimizing customer impact.
• Plan and manage technical projects end to end, including scoping work, defining milestones, tracking deliverables, and coordinating across teams to keep initiatives on schedule.
• Develop and maintain automation that simplifies operational workloads, scales infrastructure, and reduces points of failure across managed systems.
• Drive the creation and review of standard operating procedures, runbooks, and technical documentation while communicating project status, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Formação académica

Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
