Job summary

IU Health North Hospital is seeking motivated Certified Surgical Technologists for a full-time night-shift position (3 12s, 6:30p–7:00a). No call and rotating holidays. The role supports the surgical team, ensuring equipment, supplies and instrumentation are ready before procedures.

A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates; candidates should have NBSTSA certification and BLS, with OR experience or related expertise in robotics or lasers.

Qualifications

• Must hold NBSTSA-certified Surgical Technologist credential.
• Requires BLS certification and strong OR knowledge.
• Experience with advanced tech in surgery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the OR before each operation.
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by standards.
• Assist in turnover of the OR, processing specimens and equipment after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and anesthesiologists as part of the surgical team.
• Train colleagues on skills and tasks; mentor less experienced staff.
