Job summary

MPOWERHealth is seeking a Surgical First Assist for an OR-only, full-time role in Dallas, TX. You will lead as the primary surgical first assistant, providing hands-on support throughout procedures and coordinating with the OR team.

Relocation assistance is available; we offer comprehensive benefits including health coverage, HSA, dental and vision, 401(k) with match, and wellness programs. Graduate from an accredited PA/NP/CSFA program and be eligible for MN license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of surgical assisting experience.
• Hands-on experience in Ortho, Spine, General, GYN, and Robotics.
• Spine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead as First Assist, providing hands-on support throughout procedures.
• Set the Stage Pre-Op: confirm cases, meet patients, document & coordinate with OR staff.
• Deliver in the OR: support positioning, sterile field, anticipate surgeon moves with team.
• Post-Op: assist with transfers, PACU handoffs, and precise documentation.
• Contribute to clinical and operational initiatives and education.
• Grow by expanding into new surgical specialties and skills.
