The role involves surgical first assistant duties in the operating room, with no clinic time required. Candidates must have 2+ years of surgical assisting experience in neuro and/or spine surgery, hold a current Texas State License, and be board certified by NCCPA. Positions and drapes the patient under the direction of the surgeon.
Suturing and retracting of all tissue layers.
