Job summary

Slip Robotics in Norcross, GA is seeking a Robotics Software leader to own the software function across autonomy, perception, firmware, and safety‑critical code. You will shape architecture, set engineering standards, and scale a multi‑discipline team to deliver reliable software for multiple sites.

This hands‑on leadership role focuses on architecture decisions, hiring, removing blockers, and building scalable workflows to support rapid deployments while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building robotics or embedded software
• 5+ years leading and scaling engineering teams
• Experience deploying autonomous mobile robot systems across multiple customer sites
• Experience interfacing AMRs or industrial robots with middleware and WMS
• Knowledge of safety standards for mobile robotics (ISO 13849, ISO 3691‑4) and software architecture implications
• Experience owning cloud fleet infrastructure including remote deployment and observability

Responsibilities

• Lead robotics software across autonomy, perception, firmware, and safety‑critical software.
• Set technical direction and engineering standards; own architecture and code delivery.
• Scale the team across sites; hire and mentor senior ICs and future managers.
• Ensure predictable release cadence with safety‑relevant verification and quality.
• Coordinate field deployments and per‑site configuration management.
