Job summary

Hadrian’s Robotics team seeks a Robotics Software Engineer Intern to design, develop, and deploy software behind intelligent automation systems powering next‑generation manufacturing. You’ll work with seasoned engineers on production systems that operators depend on daily, shipping reliable code and contributing to dashboards and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Current university student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Strong proficiency in C++ or Python
• Exposure to motion control, trajectory generation, and robot kinematics/dynamics
• Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams and end-to-end project ownership
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Passionate about advancing manufacturing automation through robotics innovation
• Excitement for manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial systems
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, highly ambiguous environment
• Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities

• Build and improve internal tools, dashboards, and automation systems that support factory operations
• Contribute to backend services, APIs, and data pipelines used across engineering, operations, and quality teams
• Help design and implement features that improve visibility into production workflows, capacity, and program status
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, program management, and quality to understand requirements and deliver software solutions
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Surface technical risks and contribute to architectural discussions
