Job summary

Swarm Aero is redefining air power and building the largest swarming UAV network. We are seeking Software Engineers, Robotics to develop and harden on-vehicle systems for autonomous swarms.

You will extend the autonomy stack across planning, vehicle software, sensors, and simulations, and prototype electronics to support real hardware. You will write reliable code and work with a world-class team on challenging national-security focused projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, software engineering or related field.
• 3+ years building soft-realtime embedded systems or robotics software.
• Deep expertise in at least one systems language (C/C++, Rust, or Go).
• Hands-on experience with robotics algorithms (path planning, state estimation, behavior trees).
• Working knowledge of embedded systems (SPI/I2C/serial, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Strong networking fundamentals (NAT, mDNS, UDP/TCP, multicast).
• Excellent software engineering practices with testable, reliable code.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend components across the autonomy stack (planning, vehicle software, sensors, simulation).
• Grow on-vehicle software platform for integrating third-party sensors and modules.
• Create and validate realistic simulations of unmanned systems and flight hardware.
• Prototype electronics and troubleshoot complex hardware-software systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
