Job summary

Amazon is seeking exceptional talent to develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems that transform automation at scale. You will join an on-robot software team building perception, SLAM, and navigation components for real-time on-robot deployment.

Work with world-class scientists and engineers to turn research into production-ready software, optimize models for embedded GPUs, and contribute to measurable improvements in robot performance and safety.

Qualifications

• 4+ years CS/ME/EE or related field experience.
• Experience with robotics middleware like ROS2, ZCM, Zenoh, etc.
• Experience developing or integrating perception, computer vision, SLAM, or navigation software for robots or other real-world embedded systems.
• Experience deploying and optimizing machine learning models for real-time inference on embedded/edge GPUs (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson) using TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, or CUDA.
• Experience with test driven development (TDD) in robotics software.
• Master's degree or PhD in Robotics, CS, EE, or related field with focus on CV/ML (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Partner with perception, SLAM, and navigation scientists to integrate models into on-robot software.
• Optimize deep learning models and CV pipelines for real-time inference on embedded GPUs.
• Profile and reduce perception latency, throughput, and memory use from sensor input to model output.
• Build multi-camera and multi-sensor data paths with zero-copy and hardware-accelerated processing.
• Create evaluation datasets, metrics, and regression gates across offline/simulation/hardware-in-the-loop.
• Make perception components production-ready with versioning, configuration, and telemetry.
