Siemens Healthineers in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer to design, integrate, and validate remote connectivity and hosting infrastructure for the ARIES program. You will work with software engineers, system architects, networking specialists, and other contributors to enable reliable long‑distance communication across distributed robotic and computational systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with C++ and Python, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, VMs),

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering with C++ and Python.
• Experience with remote connectivity infrastructure (VPNs, VLANs, routing, firewalls, secure comms).
• Experience with DDS or similar middleware and QoS configuration.
• Experience building containerized/virtualized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, VMs).
• Experience with image/video streaming across networks (GStreamer, ROS, DDS).
• GPU-enabled software environments for real-time data/image processing.
• Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, liveliness reporting, or observability interfaces.
• Experience creating test cases and contributing to CI/testing pipelines and docs.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
