Robotics Site Operations and Business Development Manager

Role Overview: As a Robotics Business Development and Site Operations professional, you will be responsible for driving the expansion of robotics service solutions within the organization while ensuring smooth operations and optimization of robotics installations at multiple sites. Your role involves identifying business opportunities, managing client relationships, and overseeing day‑to‑day operations to deliver value through robotics technologies. The role will bridge the gap between hands‑on technical service work and strategic business growth activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Identify and evaluate business opportunities for robotics solutions, including market analysis, competitor research, and strategic planning.
    • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the organization’s footprint in the robotics market.
    • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and revenue.
    • Assist the sales team with technical presentations, systems demonstrations, and the promotion of service contracts and applications.
    • Showcase past successes in sales assistance and revenue generation.
  • Site Operations Management
    • Oversee the deployment and implementation of robotics solutions at various sites, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manage the installation, configuration, and testing of robotics systems.
    • Monitor and optimize site operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Perform administrative tasks and contribute to creative projects that enhance service delivery or operational efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting via HubSpot CRM
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics related to robotics deployments, such as uptime, throughput, and cost savings.
    • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Utilize data‑driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize robotics operations.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, requirements, and expectations regarding robotics solutions.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, addressing any issues or concerns and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
  • Team Contribution and Collaboration
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development.
    • Implement training programs and mentorship for other field service technicians to improve overall team expertise.
    • Develop and update processes and procedures to streamline field service operations.
    • Engage in talent acquisition, particularly focusing on enhancing the sales and service teams with qualified individuals.
    • Lead initiatives for the rebuilding, refurbishment, and installation of systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
    • Innovate and develop a comprehensive rebuild program for specific equipment, such as the 96 Head rebuild, including parts replacement protocols and quality qualifications.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Over 5–7 years experience in business development, field applications, or consulting roles within the robotics industry.
  • Strong understanding of robotics technologies, applications, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in QuickBooks and HubSpot CRM.
  • Certifications or training in robotics, project management, or business development are a plus.
Compensation

Expect a competitive base salary with additional compensation of 12% of the revenue from business brought in or enabled through direct involvement or oversight.
