Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking a Simulation Scenario Framework Engineer in Irving, TX. The role focuses on developing tools and frameworks to create, execute and reproduce complex testing scenarios for autonomous and robotic systems.

You will build reusable APIs, libraries and templates to support deterministic and randomized scenario generation, improving test coverage, repeatability and traceability across simulation environments.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience using Python and/or C++.
• Experience with simulation scenarios, robotics, autonomous-system testing or model-based testing.
• Strong understanding of determinism, randomization and test reproducibility.
• Knowledge of test coverage, regression testing and traceability.
• Experience integrating software with simulation or sensor environments.
• Exposure to OpenSCENARIO, ROS 2 or behavior trees would be beneficial.
• Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim or traffic and industrial scenario modelling would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define scenario schemas, parameters, constraints and event triggers.
• Model actors, environmental conditions and expected outcomes.
• Build reusable APIs, libraries, templates and scenario-creation tools.
• Support deterministic and randomized scenario generation.
• Develop coverage-driven testing, replay capabilities and regression suites.
• Capture seeds, versions, results and failures to ensure reproducibility.
• Integrate scenario frameworks with simulators, sensor models and orchestration platforms.
• Connect testing outputs with QA reporting and traceability systems.
