Job summary

Neuralink is building a next‑generation surgical robot to insert many tiny threads for brain–computer communication. You will own the end‑to‑end robot simulation, perform surgery and run tests on the simulated system, reproduce faults, and automate verification for CI on every commit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with async/concurrent systems and hardware interfaces.
• Strong Rust skills; Python for test tooling and analysis.
• Experience with robotics simulation tools (MuJoCo/Isaac Sim/Gazebo).
• Familiarity with automated integration tests and debugging across software and firmware.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end surgical robot simulation and testing.
• Reproduce faults and automate verification for CI on every commit.
• Build the full robot sim: dynamics, sensors, actuators, and interfaces.
• Test real robot software and firmware against simulated hardware.
• Write automated sim tests: scenarios, regressions, fault injection, coverage.
• Make runs deterministic, measurable, and cost-efficient.
